Kelsey joins our firm following a successful clerkship with the Honorable Judge Judith Matarazzo of the Multnomah County Circuit Court. Kelsey brings a keen intellect, excellent oral advocacy skills and youthful enthusiasm to our firm.
Kelsey attended the University of Virginia School of Law on a merit-based scholarship, where she excelled. While in law school, Kelsey interned with the Honorable Ruggero Aldisert of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She was a finalist in UVA’s rigorous and highly-competitive moot court competition. She was an active member of the National Lawyer’s Guild, the Law and Public Service Program, the Journal of Law and Social Policy and the Lambda Law Alliance. She also received the Black Law Student Association Certificate of Achievement for her collaborative efforts in hosting a large panel event devoted to exposing racial issues in the criminal justice system. In her final year of law school, Kelsey’s achievements were recognized by her induction into The Raven Society, one of UVA’s oldest and most prestigious honor societies. During law school, Kelsey volunteered with three different public defense offices around the country owing to her interest in and commitment to criminal defense work.
Kelsey earned her undergraduate degree in history of public policy from University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association and the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
