Katie Marchant is a Criminal Defense Attorney focused on the representation of individuals and corporations charged with state and federal crimes. She has successfully defended students and faculty members in Title IX procedures representing and advising students accused of sexual misconduct and other student conduct code proceedings from private schools, colleges and universities. Katie has trial experience in the State of Oregon representing individuals charged with misdemeanors and felonies, as well as complex federal investigations and prosecutions.
Katie came to the firm from the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the District of Oregon. She specialized in post-conviction cases working to reduce sentences and overturn convictions of clients charged with federal crimes. Prior to this, she served as a Law Clerk with the Oregon Department of Justice and the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
In 2021, Katie was nominated to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the area of Criminal Defense. Katie is licensed to practice in Oregon and Massachusetts.
